As doctors, we have been fortunate to be able to give back to the community and to individuals both here at home and around the world. We have been able to participate in mission trips to El Salvador with Christian Medical & Dental Association and Global Health Outreach, providing dental care and helping their local churches reach out to those in need. Here at home, we participate with Calhoun County Dental Access and we financially support many local community organizations and churches. We realize that it is impossible to do everything ourselves, so we do our best to support our patients in their efforts for community outreach through both churches and community organizations. We volunteer at our church (First Wes Church) in the nursery on a regular basis. The to the left is a picture of us at an auction for the church's youth group. We typically donate items for the auction to help fund the year's activities.Also, our office came together to participate in "Race for the Cure" in Kalamazoo, Michigan in support of two of our wonderful employees who are brave breast cancer survivors. We also have been honored to be able to participate with Smile for a Lifetime Foundation. Our local chapter of Smile for a Lifetime Foundation allows us to partner with a national foundation to give back on a local level. Participating and organizing our community efforts for Smile for a Lifetime Foundation is both an "inside" and "outside" of the office commitment - but it is a commitment well worth making to help those without means have the gift of a smile!
