We use a number different computer programs to make our office run well.  If you have been to our office, you probably noticed that we use Apple computers.  Below are descriptions of some of the systems that we use to provide excellence in care and to make our office run well.

Damon Insignia: Insignia is a fully interactive software and custom appliance system designed to give every patient a truly customized smile.  It's a precise, start-to-finish process delivering maximum clinical and practice efficiency.  With Insignia, we use the Damon System braces, but each brace is custom placed for you and the wires are custom made to fit you with the aid of cutting edge computer software.  We pair the spectacular clinical effectiveness of the Damon System braces with a computerized interface that allows us to place the braces exactly where we want them for the best possible finish from the very first day of treatment.  It is the essence of starting treatment with the end in mind.  This is an exciting time to have orthodontics!  As with any procedure, it is important to match your treatment diagnosis with the treatment plan. Electronic Records and the

"paperless office":

  

In 2008, we converted all of our paper records into electronic records.  We have a computer at every chair, plus a few others, so that we can efficiently and accurately access your treatment images and treatment notes.  Electronic charting allows us to spend more time with you, enhancing our ability to provide you with only the best in orthodontic treatment.  Our new system is also streamlining our ability to keep your general dentist informed due to our ability to manage your information and send very thorough correspondence to their offices and to you at home.  The program that we are using is named topsXtreme, and it is written exclusively for use with Apple computers.

 

Electronic Orthodontic Models:  

In May 2008 we started using "E-models" which is an advanced CAD/CAM system of electronic orthodontic models.  All of our new patients models are stored electronically from the very beginning, while our current patients' models have been converted from plaster to electronic models.  The electronic format allows us to measure, examine, and access our patients' orthodontic models with great convenience from any of the multiple computer workstations in our office. 

 

 

QuickCeph X-ray Analysis and Imaging Software:  We use the advanced imaging capabilities of QuickCeph to analyze our x-rays and to manage our patient images.  It is an amazing software package which allows us to prepare our patient images for use in the clinic so that we can use them for your care.  

 

 

Virtual TimeClock Pro: We have really enjoyed working with Virtual TimeClock Pro.  This software has been a phenomenal asset to our business, simplifying staff management with an easy to use interface.  It works on both mac and pc.  Technically this program doesn't relate directly to our patient care, but it really helps us get through the day.  It allows for staff to clock in and out from any computer in the office (or even remotely) while the built in messaging system allows us to send "in office" memos/e-mails to get everyone on the same page at times that a quick group meeting might not be possible.  As I mentioned, I have included this little "positive plug" for Virtual TimeClock because it has really been a great program for us, and I wanted to share a good idea/product with other offices/businesses.  I honestly don't get anything for giving them good press.  I just like their program.
